Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. Care homes up to 10 registered beds get eMAR, care plans, CQC export, and the family portal at £0/month, indefinitely — no card required and no time limit.
Do paid plans require a contract?
No. Every paid tier is month-to-month by default. You can cancel any time, effective at the end of your current billing period.
What happens if we go over our bed cap?
You're billed a simple £1 per bed per month for beds above your tier's cap — no surprise renegotiation or forced upgrade.
Is migration from our current system included?
Yes, on every plan. Our Migration Hub imports resident data from Person Centred Software, Nourish, Log My Care, and CareDocs, and you can run in parallel before going live.
Where is our data hosted?
In the UK/EU. CareStead never stores your card details — billing is handled entirely by Stripe. See our security and privacy pages for details.
Can we try a paid tier before committing?
Yes — paid tiers include a 30-day trial with no card required, so you can test with your real team before deciding.
